Boca Raton Regional Hospital, part of Baptist Health, announces the appointment of William Holubek, MD, as its new Chief Medical Officer. In his new role, Dr. Holubek will oversee the medical and clinical aspects of the hospital, collaborating with leaders throughout Baptist Health to shape policies and procedures.

Dr. Holubek has over 10 years of experience as a Chief Medical Officer. Most recently, he served as Chief Medical Officer at University Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, a 519-bed comprehensive academic medical center serving as the principal teaching hospital of Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. An emergency medicine physician, Dr. Holubek has extensive experience with elevating the safety and quality of care delivered at complex institutions, while improving the publicly reported quality recognitions.

Dr. Holubek received his undergraduate degree from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania, and his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in New Jersey. He completed the emergency medicine residency program at Morristown Memorial Medical Center and the medical toxicology fellowship at New York University/Bellevue Hospital. He also earned an executive Masters in Public Health from Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health in New York.
