Charles Ma, MD

Cardiothoracic surgeon Charles Ma, MD, joins Baptist Health’s Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. Dr. Ma specializes in all aspects of cardiac surgery, with a particular interest in minimally invasive technique.

Dr. Ma joins Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute from New York University, where he completed a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship and served as a clinical instructor in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

His research has been published in the Journal of Surgical Research, JTCVS Techniques and other major scientific journals.

Dr. Ma earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at the University of Minnesota and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at New York University.

The cardiac surgeons at Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute diagnose and treat heart conditions by performing a variety of complex procedures. These include surgical treatment of coronary bypass, malfunctioning heart valves and congenital heart defects in adults. The surgeons also perform transcatheter aortic valve replacements.

Dr. Ma will see patients at 8950 North Kendall Drive, Suite 607W and at 6200 SW 72 Street, Suite 604 in Miami.
